I have Finished Sweet and Sour Book 2

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.......I have finished Sweet and Sour book TWO!! It took me almost two years to do. The first book took me over two years, and I was trying to get it done sooner but I can't seem to go fast, I am just so slow. When I would draw in my sketchbook it would take me only six months or less, I don't know why doing it on my tablet takes longer, it's odd. 

But just because I finished drawing the book...doesn't mean it hasn't been edited. It needs to be edited, I'm still waiting for my editor to finish the first book, and then possibly I can get it published. Hopefully, I'm still unsure how to do that.

I am taking a small break and then will start on the third book. The third book is most likely going to be the last one, I know it is going to be a very small series, but it's good and I want to work on other stories right away. 

It is very exciting to me to know that I finished the second book at least, for it seems to take forever with no end to finish one book. I do hope I can get them published. For now, here's a little bit of the second book, probably won't make any sense if you haven't read the first book, but it's just a little taste of it.

I've noticed how I haven't posted any videos on my channel and decided to work on one. So I am still busy, being a mom and working on art projects, will it go anywhere? Probably not, but I still enjoy making videos.

And I've been doing requests from people, my older sibling has asked me to draw Autobots for my sibling's oldest son's birthday cake, and I hated it. It looks great, but it was awful to draw, I don't want to draw robots again.

Heaven and Earth

I was laying in bed one time and was thinking about my life, how blessed I am where I am right now but also how hard it has been. I have been going to therapy to help with my problems, and I think everyone that has just the smallest problems should try therapy, but that's totally up to you. I know that I got to the point of my life that I needed help, so therapy has been a miracle to me. 

But anyways, therapy has taught me a lot of things on how the mind heals and such. I am a religious person so I have experienced very spiritual moments during my therapy sessions. I have painted a few paintings about what I experienced but I'm only going to share this one because it is sweeter and I think it could apply to anyone.

I am swinging with a tree branch and a light rope from heaven, representing that I feel heaven around me while living on earth. The tree is a vision I had of me being buried in dirt and can't get out until a tree blooms up out of the dark and blossoms. I am sitting on the swing with two eggs, it's hard to see that but I am, the two eggs represent my kids. 

I am swinging with my kids, and it feels like I am heaven. 

There's more to this picture but that's all I will say about it. I just want to mention how I am so close to getting Sweet and Sour book 2 done! I am still making my goal that by the end of April I'll have it done and then take a short break and then get into book 3 and hopefully book three will be the last. It might possibly go to four books, but three sounds good to me.

Like I have explained many times before this was a test runbook for me, it was supposed to be a short story, but with my other stories that I hope to do will be a lot longer and it will be great!! I've been rewriting one of my stories that I have already finished drawing years ago, it took me five years to finish and I want to recreate it. Still have the same idea but add here and there. It's always good to rewrite a story for I feel like it gets better each time.

There was a time when I was 13 that I wanted my first ever story that I have ever written to be published. It was called The Lost Fairy. It started off as another comic book but I wanted my older sister to draw it for she was a better artist than me at the time, but when she wouldn't take the time to draw it for me I decided to do it and...I did a few pages but felt like I was doing a terrible job so I tried typing it. 

Typing was hard at first but it did get easier over time and soon enough I was a pro at typing. I would pass my typing class in a snap. I was that good, and still am, well now let's not talk about how bad my grammar is, my English is terrible. But I can type fast at least. Hehe. 

The Lost Fairy book was my project during my jr. and high school years. I would finish the book and then decide to start it over. All the way over. There would be times when it got erased by accident or didn't save, but I would rewrite it over and over again. The last time I rewrote it I find it perfect...well maybe it was, honestly I have no idea what happened to it, it could be lost on my parent's computer but who knows. I just know that each time I rewrote it, it was different but yet the same and I got better and better at telling a story.

My sisters would read it and would critique it for me. The main problem I had was telling it in the present or the past tense, for some reason that was a big struggle. And even though I am a little better at it, I still struggle with it. I am not a great writer, no not one bit. But I do love making stories and that's what I want to do for the rest of my life. 

High Adventure Music Video

 

OK, so something cool happened last week. 

My older sister has been telling me how she's been wanting to a music video to this song by Aladdin broadway version and I've never seen this musical before, (I've only seen the cartoon and real-life one) but never the broad way one.  For a few months she has been wanting to do a music video to that song and she and other siblings of mine have decided they are ok doing it, and I enjoy making music videos so I was totally cool with it, even though I have no idea what this song was. 

When the day came that we wanted to make this video I felt so unprepared for I didn't really listen to the song, and had a few months to listen to it, but I never really did! But in the end, it turns out really great! I played the part of Omar who is funny and I think it turned out perfect since I didn't know the song well I just acted dumb the whole time. It was fun, and it has been a long time since we have made a music video. We use to do them all the time growing up.

Well, I have been. I have finished the first book in 2019 and been working on the second book since. I am so close to getting it done!! So I have decided to get it done by the end of April! I have no idea if I can make it, but I feel like I should because once book 2 is done, then I can get book 3 going and then get this story done! 

It's a short story for sure, but I have enjoyed making this story. It could be a very long book if I wanted to, but I honestly want to get started on my other books that are my favorite. Sweet and Sour are still good, (at least I think so, maybe it isn't for others) but I didn't want to make it a long story, I originally just did it for practice because I had no idea how to draw on my Wacom tablet Stirling. Now that I do know how to use it, I want to be one of those authors or illustrators that published so many stories before she reached the age of 50. 

I am almost getting close to turning 30 and it freaks me out that I haven't published anything yet! 

It's my dream, my reason to live!

No, not really, I am still happy being a mom...most of the time.

Once Sweet and Sour book 2 is done, I will do a quick edit myself and then post it here, but want a better editor to look at it for I know that my grammar is terrible. Just terrible.  My English has never been the best, and I'm sure just by reading my blogs you would agree with me because I tend to not write very well. 

That's all I guess I'll have to say to this blog. So I'm just going to post random pictures that I have done in the past.

Tears of Joy

If you haven't seen the Among Us video by Ebb & Flow Gamerz, I highly checking it out. Here's the link. It is pretty good, I got to play with them along with another sibling. If you don't know, I edit Ebb and Flow videos and I am the one that is called Poe and my character is the Flamingo with the sunglasses on. Tatoe is the penguin that played with us as well. It was a lot of fun playing with them, hopefully, we will play with them again soon.

Making these videos are fun and I am happy doing them. But it can also be stressful for I got so much going in my life that when I do their videos I need at least three days to do one. For I have to watch thru a video they send to me, cut some parts out, make notes on what to animate, animate, then edit it again putting the animations in the video. It takes a lot of time, that's why I can only do one video a week. I don't know how people post a video daily, that just seems so impossible for me.

There were a few videos that I made that only took me a day to do because the video was easy and simple. But most of the videos I need at least three days to complete.

Besides that, I am getting really close to finishing Sweet and Sour book 2, once I get it done I'll do a quick edit myself and post it on my blog here. I'm already drafting the third book and it's getting really intense, I cannot wait for it to be done! This book has a very good message and I wanted it to be a short series for I want to focus on other books, but I am happy with Sweet and Sour I do love the characters and the plot and hopefully others would too.

And besides that, I have done more colored requests. Here below are what I've done, I only colored them, my friend drew them and got paid on each one. It's not much but still something.

I actually don't know what this show is called. I've seen small videos about it and the only thing I know is that the ladybug girl likes that cat boy.

I got an iPad Pro Air. Yep. I did. I have debated whether or not to get a Ipad or a new laptop for the longest time, I did a lot of studying and decided to get the iPad pro air. I couldn't get it thru amazon for some reason, I got everything else, the pen, the case, etc. But the actual Ipad, nope. So I did go to Best Buy and told the salesman exactly what I wanted and of course, he was trying to get me to buy something else, but I kept persisting that I just want the IPad Pro Air 4th generation. He showed me a laptop that was nice, but "no" I said, "I want the Ipad Pro Air 4th Generation," so he finally pulled it up on his computer and saw that they had one in stock, and added a pen and a black magic keyboard to go with it. And I said, "I already got a pen and case, all I need is the Ipad Pro Air 4th Generation," he did gave a curious look and tried to convince me to get this certain pen and keyboard, but I already spent money on what I need now all I need is the iPad pro air fourth GENERATION!! He finally got it from the back and I paid it and got out of there.

That was fun.

 I got MedibangPaint Pro on my Ipad and tried it out. It was different but got used to it right away.

This picture is called Tears Of Joy, for I received some news that made me so happy, overjoy, overwhelmed, so exciting, so thrilled that tears rolled out of my eyes for five hours. I was truly happy. I don't know if I should share what the news was for I've been keeping it quiet for over a year now. But, for now, it did give me great joy, and never been so happy and relieved, so I decided to draw how I was feeling at that moment, and I was wearing a headband with my hair up in a bun. The person I draw represents me on how I was feeling and wearing at the moment.

Becoming a Little Famous

 

Wow, wow, wow.

So in my last post, I was mentioning how I started a new account on TikTok, I wanted to do something different and new and out of my comfort zone. I created a character name Flanngy Drew, and she is supposed to be weird, positive, funny, and have a weird way of talking. I made a few drafts and wasn't sure if I should post them, but as soon as I did my first video already got five hundred views, which is a lot more than my first Tiktok ever. It only got four views.

It's only been a few weeks since I started this account and last night I checked my Tiktok accounts and notices that Flanngy Drew account got a lot of notifications, and already 1000 followers! Wow, I was blown away, it took me half a year on my first account to get that many followers. 

Hours later, when I was going to post another video I notice even more followers and such, I cannot even believe it! I wanted to make a video about reaching 1000 followers but didn't get the chance, I already got 2000 followers! I cannot believe that. 

 I do though however got some hate comments. Which is fine I expected it to happen, but the fact that I do have hate comments means that my videos are getting noticed! I don't know where Flanngy will go, but I am happy with how successful her videos are going. 

In other news, my first account is going to be my art Tiktok. It still is getting followers, I'm up to 5000 followers which is fantastic. I don't know if I'll lose that when I mainly do art stuff on it, but that's what I'm planning to do. I want to continue doing my art and showing them off.

I'm still working on my book and projects. I haven't done any more of Ebb and Flow videos because complications happened. I got a computer from a good friend of mine, but the computer suddenly stopped working. So before I even got the chance to work on a new video it crashed. So I have to use their laptop again, my laptop doesn't work so well. I can still draw on it, but that's it.

I did also got something else...that I've been wanting for a few months now. I worked on another children's book for a guy that asked me to do, and when he paid me for it I spent it on an Ipad Pro Air. Yep.

I named him Dimitri, named after a character from Fire Emblem Three Houses. I am so addicted to it. I bought the game and use my sister's switch to play it, and I cannot stop playing it. It's my favorite game right now. If my computer gets fixed and I get it back I will call her Edlegard, name after another character from Fire Emblem. Haha!

I did laugh at the title when I saw the trailer of it, being like, "Three Houses? What?!? Hahahaha!" but now I understand why they call it that and think it's a perfect name.

I created Another Tiktok Account

 Hello, people of the Ertha! I have been slacking on a lot of stuff, for one thing, it's been a few weeks since my last post, and I haven't done much in Sweet and Sour book 2. I am so close to getting the second book done, but I have been doing other things and dealing with other crap, but I want to get it done so I can get the third book going, and maybe possibly, my first book will be published!

I have been continuing working on Ebb & Flow Gamerz Youtube videos. The first video was almost two hours long and it was crazy how fast I got it done! I did ask them if they could make the videos shorter, for it was taking a lot of my time to run through the video, see where I need to animate, animate, then put the animations in the video. It takes a lot of my time!

They have shortened their recent videos, which is so nice! And their videos are pretty good if I do say so myself, go check them out link is here.  Again, I am the editor and the artist! I enjoy doing their thumbnails they are fun to make! But also hard.

Apparently Ebb was actually Marth and Flow was Roy...oops. If you don't know, Ebb is the fox and Flow is the wolf.

Ok so this game is my addiction, Fire Emblem Three Houses, when they showed me this game and asked me if I wanted to play, I wasn't so sure I mean yeah I have played Fire Emblem game before but wasn't really interested in this one, but as soon as I started playing it on their switch...I bought the game myself and can't stop playing it.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is way better than the first Hyrule Warriors...just saying.

I highly suggest that you check these videos out, for they are good and fun to watch. If you like me and like watching people play video games...this is your type of channel. I know I watch people play video games all the time on Youtube, it actually helps me fall asleep at night, well most nights anyways there would be times when it doesn't help and I stay more awake than asleep.

But besides that, I also started a new Tiktok account. 

I have mentioned before that I have a Tiktok account, and have over a thousand followers which is super great! But I was getting tired of what I was doing and wanted to do something else, now that I am more involved in TikTok I decided to try something different, I still have my original account, but I'm going to make it my art TikTok account because I still want to show off my art. But this new account I made is going to be my acting, character, thing. I call it Flanngy Drew.

I created a character long ago while I was doing Youtube, I still have a few videos of this girl on my channel, but deleted most of them because...because I had to. Flanngy is someone that I think is my funky, artsy, creative, silly, and dumb person of myself. I was debating at first if I should do this and as I started to make videos of her I wasn't sure if I post anything...it took a lot of my courage to try for this is all different for me to do and don't know if anyone would like it. But when my first video posted it got a lot of views, like 500 views and that was surprising to me because...my first video on my other account still only has 4 views. Wow.

I am actually really impressed with how many views I keep getting on Flanngy Drew videos and getting followers already. Like wow, it is making me more confident to keep trying her.

The only problem is that I have to wear the same thing. I have decided that when I started being her I wanted to make sure she wore the same thing and such. Even the makeup. So if I have the time of day to get dressed into her and do my hair and make-up like her, I would make about ten videos into my drafts and post them later in the week. It's a good way to do it I think.

I've Got Myself Into Something Great

 Hello, people from Ertha! 

Something new has happened to my life.

So I have been a slacker, I haven't done much in my Sweet and Sour book 2 last week, and that's because I've started something that I need to figure out how to do while drawing Sweet and Sour and many more books to come.

    I explained in last week's post that I have stories that I want to do, and there are many I want to do, if you haven't read my last week post or want to know more about the other books I want to do, click here. I do want to accomplish a lot of my stories before I get to the age of 50. Or before I die. Who knows I might die tomorrow, you just never know. 

    But what I have been doing that's time-consuming is that I am editing videos for Ebb & Flow Gamerz. It's a brand new gaming channel that they have done and asked me to edit their videos and I have been editing them and doing the art on the thumbnails and such. I also added animations because they are not showing their faces, they want to keep their identity a secret for now. I am sharing who I am, I'm Poe the editor...hopefully they are ok with me sharing that, Poe is my nickname in the videos, I had the nickname Poe since Jr. High School. We were going to use the stage name that I've been using for this blog and such, Flanngy, but end up with Poe.

The first video is a speed run of the game Sonic Forces, and they decided that their first video will be long so when they gave it to me to edit and said I only had a week to do it on I was in a panic. I did get less sleep cause I was trying so hard to finish it with their deadline and even though it was tiring, I actually loved it! When I went to bed I would actually fall right to sleep.

There have been many nights where I just stay up watching Youtube videos trying to fall asleep and it was tiring to do. But it was stressful, I had to do the animations, add them, cut a few things, my eyes were glued to the laptop screen for a few days, my head felt it was going to explod.

When they gave me their second video it wasn't as long and much easier to finish before their deadline, I do enjoy editing videos so I think this is good for me. I do want to continue with my own work, my own stories, my own Youtube Channel, and such. But I don't know what it is, if it's from someone else and asked me to do it for them I tend to focus on it more than my own work. If that made any sense.
